The hotel needs updating. It looks tired. I heard loud banging noises late in the evening. Doors were also slammed late at night. Irresponsible dog owners let their pets bark while they had breakfast.

i enjoyed the peaceful location and the attentive service. the attention to detail. i had a good walk around the grounds and explored the walled garden.

a relaxing stay

warm greeting suite upgrade wonderful service
the family dog greeted me warmly. i received an upgrade to the suite mountain view upon arrival. both the food and the staff provided wonderful service. the river view was perfect. the room had a very comfy bed and a walk in shower.
i noticed that my bedroom was being cleaned before my check out time. it was around 10:40 am when i returned from walking the dogs and the cleaning already started.

the building is a very nice period mansion. my room was spacious and quiet. staff were cute and breakfast was superb, i am grateful. we stay one night only en route to somewhere.
the decor seemed tired and it need updated. i found a dead bluebottle on the floor in my room. the bed was not comfortable. one chair felt unstable, i felt bad.

The staff offered delicious food and wine upon my late arrival at 8:30 pm. i had a spacious room. It was comfortable and quiet. the breakfast was superb! the hotel owner and staff.
the suite was cold and i had to ask to turn the heating on, though it turned off again after an hour.

I was excited to see so many thoughtful touches for pets! The grounds are beautiful. It feels like staying at a National Trust hotel. The breakfast was very good. There was lots of choice plus good quality food and coffee.
